For swimmers that love the sport and want to pursue it beyond the basics, Thunder Bay Artistic Swimming offers a competitive stream for beginner and advanced levels.
We offer a Competitive Program in several age groups.
Athletes are grouped based on the Canada Artistic Swimming age group standards:
For grown up synchronized swimmers who fondly recall their childhood days spent in the pool, and the thrill of performing after a season of hard work.
Our athletes compete at both the provincial and national levels in Ontario, Manitoba and across Canada!
Returning swimmers at the competitive level may have the opportunity to train duets or solos to be performed at the Watershows and competitions. Depending upon athlete's age and skill level, they practice 2-5 times per week and compete one to seven times per year.
Training takes place at Lakehead University Pool and the Canada Games Complex.
Competitive swimmers perform at two Watershows each season, which are held in the Winter and Spring.
Please note that synchronized swimming experience may not be required to participate in the competitive program, depending on swimming skills. All new athletes joining competitive will be assessed by one of our coaches to determine an appropriate group level.
